Paintings remained the leading medium by both participation (76% of buyers, up from 67% in the 2025 survey) and value (31% of total fine art expenditure, up from 27%). Sculptures were the second-largest area of spending (15%), followed by works on paper (10%) and digital art (9%). Outside fine and decorative art, the most popular collectibles by participation were antiques (30%), jewelry and gems (19%), watches (18%), and luxury handbags (14%).

Fine art accounted for 33% of total spending on art and collectibles in the first halfof 2026. Together, fine and decorative art made up 55% (up from 49% in 2025). Theremaining 45% went to other collectibles, including antiques (9%), jewelryand gems (8%), and design works (6%).
